Privacy, in plain language
Short version: I use your email address to send you the newsletter, and that's it. You can unsubscribe anytime, and I will never sell your data.
What I collect
When you sign up, I collect your email address. That's the only thing the signup form asks for. If you reply to an email (for example, to share your kid's age, your city or an event tip), I'll see your reply and your email address.
How I use it
- To send you the Small Fry Weekend newsletter, once a week on Thursdays.
- To send the occasional note about the newsletter itself, like a welcome email.
- To read and answer your replies.
I don't use your email for anything else.
What I never do
- I never sell, rent or trade your email address or any other information.
- I never share your email with sponsors. Sponsors appear as a clearly labeled section in the newsletter. They don't get the subscriber list.
Unsubscribe anytime
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're off the list. You can also email [email protected] and ask me to remove you, or to delete your information.
Who helps send the email
The newsletter is sent with Kit (formerly ConvertKit), an email service that stores the subscriber list. Like most newsletter tools, Kit records basic information such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. I only use that to learn which listings are useful. This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages.
Cookies and tracking on this site
This website uses the Meta Pixel to measure visits and sign-ups from our Facebook and Instagram ads; Meta may set cookies for this. We don't set our own cookies. When you sign up, your email address is sent directly to Kit and is not shared with Meta.
Kids
The newsletter is for parents and caregivers. It's not meant for children, and I don't knowingly collect information from kids.
Changes and questions
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date below. Questions? Email [email protected].
